  • Pkmn Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (in browser)
  • Old School Runescape - basically the same as Runescape in 2007, but with new quests, bosses, areas to explore!
  • Runescape 3 - "modern" Runescape, with new graphics, combat abilities, and unfortunately pay-to-win mechanics.
  • Wizard101 - a magic-school MMO with a card-based combat system. Free to start, but to unlock additional content you can either buy a membership or unlock individual areas with premium currency.

Other Games

Free game collections

  • Pico-8: a "fantasy game console" that allows you to play special PNG games in the browser.

My favorite games

  • Stardew Valley: a farming sim with excellent characters. This charming game has a 2-year storyline with a number of optional quests and goals. Due to my ADHD and migraines, I don't consider mods optional. My essential mods include Vibrant Pastoral Recolor, Automate, Chests Anywhere, UI Info Suite 2, and Lookup Anything.
  • Minecraft: I love the sounds, and the way the game looks with shaders. I only play Java edition, and only with mods, because I get lost super easily and get frustrated with inventory management. Some of my favorite mods are Sophisticated Backpacks, Create, Farmer's Delight, Ars Nouveau, and anything from Team Abnormals.
  • Runescape 3: the modern version of Runescape with updated graphics and combat abilities. I love the flexible skills system, the intriguing lore, and the (relatively) simple combat. I am proud to say I now have 5 skills at level 99, and 408 quest points. I'm just a little too shy to complete dungeons that require the help of other players, and I'm stuck on "Curse of the Black Stone."
  • Old-school Runescape: a fork of Runescape from a 2007 backup, released in 2013 and updated regularly with new content. Same skill system and lore as RS3, with even simpler combat and a tighter, more polished feel. My highest account is an Ironman (no trading allowed) with a total level above 1750 and just 7 quests left to complete!
  • Zoo Tycoon 2: an abandoned game from the '00s, difficult to play on modern computers. This was my absolute favorite game as a kid. I'd spend my entire allotment of screen time on here every day. Like the modern Planet Zoo, you play as a zoo manager, creating habitats for animals as well as areas for guests. Unlike Planet Zoo, you can also go into first-person mode, becoming a zookeeper or maintenance worker to save on cash. ZT2 also has a simpler fence and path placing system, which makes it easier to create something decently symmetrical (even if it's not gorgeous like PZ can do). ZT2 had a total of 4 expansions, including one for aquatic animals and one for extinct animals, which let you set up Seaworld-esque shows and hunt down fossils to create dinosaurs for your exhibits. See above for a download link.
  • Pokemon: I've played every mainline generation from 3 up, plus most of the Ranger and Mystery Dungeon games. My tier list:
  • My Fantasy Life for 3DS: A bit like early Final Fantasy games, but there's just you, and jobs include cooking and alchemy. Very cute and witty, with an excellent storyline. I have the DLC too, which is sadly no longer available due to the e-shop closure. I anxiously await the sequel that has been announced for the switch!
